Name: Aang
Age: 12
Gender: Male
Nation: Air Temple
Physical Appearance: He is a 12year old boy with an average height and a light skin complexion.
He wears a long-sleeved yellow shirt with an orange shawl over it. He also wears double-layered pants with a top yellow layer and brown underneath. His head is shaven and arrow tattoos are enscribed on his head, extending to his back, hands and feet. Brown boots can also be seen as his footwear.
Equipment: He has a wooden glider that he uses for flight and sometimes as a weapon. The wooden stick part is brown in color with orange wings up and down. He uses air to maneuver this contraption during flight. When closed, it is just a wooden stick but when open, it resembles a large bird.
Combat Skills: Aang has learned some few tricks using air. He can cause tornadoes while running round a spot. He can shoot air balls, gusts of wind, etc.
He also has great acrobatic skills due to him being an air bender. He can easily jump to high heights to escape opponents attacks. Speed is also one of his skills as it puts him on the offensive side. He also uses the air scooter for offense.
As the avatar, he is capable of tapping into the various bending elements. For him to have full and total control of all bendings, he needs to enter into The Avatar State. The Avatar State is unique to only avatars. It is a very powerful force as it combines the spirit and powers of past avatars. When used, havoc and destruction can be done in mere seconds. Aang hasn't tapped into it yet, but is capable, as he's the avatar.
Talents: One of his best talents or gift is the air scooter. It was due to this that he earned the arrow tattos. The air scooter is simply an air ball used for movement. Once the air ball is created to a large size, it is sat on and through air bending/telekinesis, the air ball is moved, causing movement. He can also do push-ups without his hands. In this part, he blows gusts of air from his mouth to the ground so as he comes down, he won't land on the ground.
Flaws: One major flaw of Aang is that he can't own up to his responsibility. He just likes doing what he wants to do. It's not ignorance because he knows what he's called and meant to do but simply doesn't want to. It's because of the fear of what he might lose.
Aang is emotional, especially around girls. He is usually side tracked by girls and is response to this, he blushes.
He gets his feelings hurt whenever he looses a loved person to the point that he can destroy whatever is around him.
Aang is also a vegetarian. To him, he doesn't consider this a flaw, but a personality. But some people do. In the sense that they might have prepared him food but only to discover that he doesn't eat those types. They then take it as being his flaw-meaning he's only perfect at eating non-animal products.
History: Aang was born to unknown Air Nomads. Though the monks of the Southern Air Temple took him away when they discovered he was the Avatar. From there he became a resident.
During his childhood, Aang was raised under the guardianship of Monk Gyatso, who served as his father figure, counselor, and tutor. Being a little air Bender, he went through essential skills and training. Aang was a member of the Air Scouts, where he learned essential skills such as how to tie reins to a bison's horns with the bison horn knot. He had friends with whom we played and practiced air bending with.
During the early stage of his life at the Temple, he was asked to choose among toys. To their surprise, Aang chose 4 avatar relics, of their respective native elements. This was another sign of his avatar call.
At the age of 6, he and several young air nomads, were taken to the Northern Air Temple to choose their bisons which will be their lifelong companions. He chose his and named his bison, Appa.
Aang was always able to understand and overcome all new air bending tricks and skills and at the age of 6, he surpassed all other children twice his age. At a point, he even became better than his masters. As a reward for displaying great talents with his native element, air, he earned his air bending tattoos and the status of an airbending master at the age of twelve, making him the youngest airbending master in Air Nomad history at that time. He also made many friends during his visits to other nations.
At the age of twelve, Aang was then told that he was the avatar due to the signs of war they sensed. Aang then felt burdened about this. His friends no longer played with him and he spent most of the time training with the monks. When he discovered that he had to traveling to the Eastern Air Temple, he felt unhappy about it because he would have to leave the man he knew as a father and mentor, Gyatso. He then decided to run away with Appa but was unfortunately caught in a storm. Luckily for him, he escaped. Now he and Appa are alone starting a new life. At times, he would have dreams, visions and hallucinations of people reminding him of his duty as an Avatar. He just simply ignores them, still thinking of it as a burden. He never wants to be known as 'The Avatar' and so decided to wander wherever the wind takes him. 'I just want to live a normal air bender's life', that's what he keeps saying to himself. With hopes that one day, all these will be forgotten.
Personality: Aang is a cool-headed monk that has inculcated the nobility of the monks. He is a kind goofy kid who doesn't like loosing whatever he loves. He is playful, energetic and caring.
Speaking on his diet, Aang is a vegetarian. He doesn't eat animal flesh and in some cases, animal products.
He still kept this personality but is usually hurt when he looses someone he loves. Although he is cool-headed, when he gets angry, he is uncontrollable and can harm whatever is in his surrounding.
Pet: The name of Aang's pet bison was Appa. It is a huge flying bison with two small horns, a large tail and brown colored arrow tattoos. It has white fur all around his body with a brown underneath. A saddle is placed on its back for the owner to sit while it flies.
Appa can fly due to the bisons being one of the original benders. It uses its tail to enhance flight. When he flaps his tail on the ground, he can release a huge gust of wind.
It can be side tracked by food as it loves food. When tired, it doesn't fly until it recovers. It either walks or swims depending on the available option.
Appa is a noble bison that cares for and about his master, Aang. He fights for justice. He is at times playful but when it comes to purpose, he is always willing except for his aforementioned flaw. It can be said to be a noble and respectable bison because he is the chosen guardian and companion of the Avatar, Aang.

After being told of his Avatar's call, Aang ran away with his flying bison. While flying, a storm suddenly began. Aang and Appa were in a bad situation. They had a hard time going through but thanks to luck, they were able to scale through the storm and they reached a forest bank and decided to rest. The lit up a fire with the sticks they could gather. It was getting late and they were tired. The did it to keep themselves warm and hopefully to fend off snakes.
Hustling of bushes and the scattering of leaves could be heard and seen as both rested. While Aang rested his back on Appa, he had a short nap. He had had a nightmare and in it, he saw Gyatso calling him back to help the world, his friends calling him to save them. He woke up and screamed. Appa was disturbed by the shout, woke up and licked Aang. It's nothing, Appa. Just a weird dream. I just don't know what to do. I'm really confused. Appa licked Aang again to cheer him up.
Let's go buddy. We have to look for a neighbouring village, where we can eat some food. I'm hungry and I don't think I can go on without food. Appa then made a noise showing his hunger and another showing his approval. The winds blew and the trees shook, leaving the environment calm and quiet. They then left the forest in hopes to find somewhere and something to eat.
