[Manifestation] Ayumu, The Dream Walker.

Aang had been on his way back home. He had finally given in and decided that he might see if the Monks would allow him the freedom he desired. If the other boys would let him play with them again. And most importantly, to make sure that Appa got some rest and lots of nice and tasty hay. It was his concern for the sky bison that in the end was his primary reason for turning back. Appa had five stomachs compared to Aang's singular one and as such, he needed a lot more food and care. Aang did his best but he felt guilty for taking Appa away from the calmer and easier life at the temples.

And he missed Monk Gyatso. They had wanted to take Aang away from him and Aang realised that he had now taken himself away from his fatherly figure. It was time to go home. And they couldn't have chosen a better time to decide to head back to the temple. It wasn't long after the mists and strange lights in the sky had started when Aang decided that he should return to the Air Temple. Perhaps they would know what all this was about.

It was unnerving, although Aang was curious about what on earth all of this was. But he noticed that he met less people travelling. A lot of folk were more reclusive and less talkative. It wasn't a friendly atmosphere and Aang just hoped that he would arrive back home soon and all the Avatar business would have blown over. He just wanted to have friends, to have Monk Gyatso, to have fun. Like how things had been before he found out what they claimed he was. He was simply himself. He was just Aang. A boy.

That's when he noticed it. A beam of light from which the strange dancing lights seemed to come from. Natural curiosity quickly overran the child and Aang directed Appa towards the light. Appa let out a none too pleased rumble.
"We're just going to see what it is," Aang told Appa, rubbing the great creature's forehead. Appa let out a rumble of acceptance but Aang knew that the bison would rather go home than explore this strange light. But it couldn't take them too long and surely they would be better of knowing what it was. Maybe he could tell Gyatso what he had found.

They were coming into land when a large shape loomed out of the mist. It was a house, roof collapsing in and timbers broken in places.
"AGH!" Aang said, pulling Appa up suddenly and they narrowly missed the head on collision, just knocking off some of the roof. Appa let out a sound of complaint and Aang looked down as the circled the ground. Taking in a large breath of air, he suddenly released it, pushing the mist away as best he can/ He got a brief look at the scene below and it was enough for him to identify where they could safely land.

And land they did. Aang quickly slid off Appa and checked his giant friend for any sign of injury. He could find none.
"You alright, buddy?" He asked, getting a rumble and a nudge of agreement. The airbender let out a sign of relief. Then he turned and looked towards the village, which he could scarcely make out through the mist. He took a few uncertain steps forward, heading towards what he felt was the centre.

The mist amplified sounds and he could hear Appa's heavy breathing and footsteps behind him as he walked into the deserted village. It was unnerving and creepy but Aang didn't want to leave. There had to be something here and he wanted to find out what it was.
"Hello!" He called out into the mist, voice rather loud (and carried through the heavy air).
"Is there anybody out there?"
