Kenzan sighed as he sat in his guest room at the Fire Sages temple. Every time he had tried to create lightningKenzan sighed as he sat in his guest room at the Fire Sages temple. After having completed his mission for the Fire Sages, he had been invited to stay at the temple while completing his Lightning Bending training. Every time he had tried to create lightning, however, it had blown up in his face. He didn't feel troubled like the elder sage said he most liekly was due to his inability to create lightning, but today something happened. He had made a spark of lightning, but that was it. This had shown the Sages that Kenzan was not a lost cause for lightning bending, but just needed practice.
So, Kenzan had decided to take one of his fathers tips. He sat on the bed, legs crossed, as he watched the Spirit Lights dance in the sky. He thought they were beautiful. But now was not the time for that. He held his hands in his lap, as he closed his eyes. The candles in the room surrounded him, and he let out a sigh, beginning to meditate, to perhaps center himself to enhance his training. , however, it had blown up in his face. He didn't feel troubled like the elder sage said he most liekly was due to his inability to create lightning, but today something happened. He had made a spark of lightning, but that was it. This had shown the Sages that Kenzan was not a lost cause for lightning bending, but just needed practice.
A draft flew throughout the room, suffocating all of the candles that lit the room for Kenzan. He was left in the dark. If he would turn around he would notice a reddish glowing coming from the outside of his door. He could also hear a faint humming sound that sounded foreign to him. Sitting in the darkness even if he hadn't turned around the light peaking through the door would have faintly glowed on the wall, creating a shadowy outline of the door.
Outside and down the hall a ways was the entrance to the shrine of Avatar Roku. If the young man would go to investigate he would find the door opened and the statue of the regal avatar letting off a strange red light from it's eyes.
Kenzan frowned as the lights in his room went out, and he formed a fireball in his hand to illuminate the room once more. He stood up with an annoyed look on his face, before noticing the faint red glow under the door. That wasn't normal. An intruder, perhaps? Quickly throwing on his black clothing, overcoat and all, he strapped his daggers to his side with his mask also stored away before exiting the room. He had his hands up infront of him in a traditional firebending stance, before walking down the room, and turning to see the doors that lead to Avatar Rokus shrine open. "... This door shouldn't be open." He spoke to himself, as he looked around, before walking into the room, and walking up to Avatar Rokus Statue.
As Kenzan approached the statue of Avatar Roku. The strange glowing light grew brighter and brighter and began to flicker violently. The entire room seemed to start changing with each flicker of light and soon Kenzan found himself in an entirely new place that seemed alien to him. It was a mountainous region covered in a haze.
The earth in front of him was disturbed, as if someone had been there a long time. Kenzan would soon realize that the area he was at was a very small flat plain atop a very shear cliff. The bottom of which he could not see. Kenzan could hear a strange noise, a great swooshing noise that seemed familiar but he wouldn't likely be able to put his finger on what was making it.
Kenzan had been forced to close his eyes as the lights grew brighter. He heard the large metal doors of the room slam shut, and his heart skipped a beat. Was he locked in here? What was going on? He didn't know. He opened his eyes once more when the light died down, only to be greeted by an entirely different area. Where was he? He had no idea. He didn't see anyone around or any way down, so he simply sat down on the mountain, sighing.
A blur of red light traveled across the sky and circled down over the top of Kenzan. It spiraled down rapidly in a coiling manner, it grew much larger as it approached Kenzan very quickly. It had thick red scales, a huge set of wings, and a "V" shaped head with white horns on its head that was full of impressively large teeth.
It stopped in front of the small ledge that Kenzan had been standing on. Hovering in front of the young man with a curious look upon it's eyes. It snarled a bit but seemed to be more curious than it was angry. Still, it's massive presence was quite overwhelming. Only if Kenzan was paying attention would he realize that the dragon had reigns fashioned upon it's horns, so it must have belonged to someone.
Kenzan turned his head when he heard the sound of flapping wings and saw the shadow fly over his head. He frowned and quickly leaned back, back flipping a few times to put distance between himself and the large Dragon that had just landed in front of him. His hands came alive in flames as he prepared for a battle, only to realize that the beast hadn't come to fight, it seemed. Kenzan relaxed some, sighing as the flames went out, looking up at the Dragon. It reminded him of his own Dragon who was... less than obedient, right now."A dragon...? So wheres your owner?"
The dragon seemed to take a large whiff of the fire bender and seemed to have some kind of familiarity with him. The dragon flew off again for a moment but then returned, landing on the rock behind Kenzan. Their was barely enough room for the two of them, but the dragon got down on it's belly and made a gesturing motion at Kenzan.
It appeared that the dragon had wanted the fire bender to mount him. Although being a dragon he couldn't speak it seemed as if the creature had some form of empathetic communication. Kenzan knew in his mind that the creature had wanted him to mount up.
Kenzan looked at the Dragon, whom he almost seemed to know. He was sure he'd seen the dragon before, but where? He wasn't quite sure what the awnser was, but he didn't really care. At this point, all he knew he needed to do was get on the Dragon. He walked over to the dragon, sliding behind it's horns and grabbing onto the reigns. He patted the dragons neck.
"Let's go."
As Kenzan mounted the dragon it took off with haste into the air. Riding it was less than fun, the way that it's spine seemed to curve up and down would be uncomfortable to say the least. The terrain throughout the world looked foreing and strange. No ocean could be seen, only a great fog that enveloped everything could be seen. Throughout this strange world of fog islands of various sizes could be seen scattered around different elevations of the sky line.
For nearly an hour the dragon flew through the sky. Soon Kenzan would notice a large green beacon of light in the sky and a strange opening that looked similar to an unframed mirror. It was on a very large island and it was a large flat plain of barren earth, a forest stood in the center and the area seemed to be in a permanent dusk.
The dragon swooped over the strange forest where light was radiating. The dragon landed about one hundred feet away. It got back down onto it's belly again, and it seemed like it must be the end for Kenzan's ride.
Kenzan frowned a bit as he rode the Dragon that had been sent to help him. He realized that he'd have to get a saddle for his own dragon back home, when it stopped acting up. He looked around the area as they flew, and it was painfully obvious that this wasn't the world he was used to. The Dragon eventually landed, and Kenzan slid off the mount, before streaching his legs some, and then walking towards the green beacon of light.

He had a bad feeling about this.
Siku cautiously watched as the man in red robes continued to do some sort of strange ritual. He soon realized that his mind must have been hallucinating the cover and vegetation that he had been provided before, because he was in a barren plain now with only one tree. The tree looked gnarled and wicked, and a strange orange light seemed to be emitting from it.
"You've gone far enough Roku! I can't condone your actions here. It is much to close to the darkness." Siku yelled. His words were not his own. He could feel an unseen force that had taken over his body.
That is when Kenzan approached from behind him.
"We must find the current avatar, Kuruk! The solstice is much to far away and I have foreseen a doom that will destroy all balance. I am only weakening the link, as I have told you before. Vaatu still slumbers and he won't be able to escape." Kenzan said as he approached Siku. His voice was also not his own.
"No! You have weakened the link enough! You risk everything!" Siku said, possessed by an unknown force. "Your meddling has already caused a great imbalance, the mist spirit has been devoured by another. I won't let you do this!"
The eyes of Siku and Kenzan began to glow as if they had somehow entered the avatar state. Their bodies were now the toys of two avatars that were in a disagreement. Siku ran toward the actual figure of Roku with an enormous amount of water floating above his head. He launched it toward the figure and was going to attempt to freeze him to stop the ritual that would weaken the link between the spirit world.
Kenzan's eyes began to glow as he felt an indescribable power flow through him. The Avatar State, even if it wasn't the real avatar state, made Kenzan feel invincible. Sure, he might not be totally concious right now, but he was aware of what he was doing, and he had some control in the movements his body made. After all, it was still his body.
Kenzan immediatly moved as Siku threw the large body of water at the real Roku. Kenzan's feet came alive in flames, and he took to the sky, moving in between Siku and Roku. He spun his body around, catching the water with his new-found Waterbending ability, before blasting it back at Siku. He the cut the flames, and slammed into the ground, sending a pillar of Earth up from under Siku so he'd be slammed into the water.
"What is this? Let go of my body." Siku tried to say, although it only seemed to form in his mind. he had no idea what was going on but he hated the idea of not having control. He struggled against the unseen force that had taken control of him. He struggled and struggled against the power, but he didn't seem to have any way of breaking free.
"Stop it kid or you are going to get yourself killed." A voice inside of his mind said. It didn't sound like the voice that he thought in, it was much different.
As Siku approached Roku with the freezing attack he saw the man behind him had taken to the air with fire. Soon his own attack had been stopped by Kenzan and he found himself get blasted with water. A large pillar of earth came up, but the entity controlling Siku was fast enough to use a motion to carve a hole into it and avoid it. Behind the pillar now, Siku did a back flip and formed a board out of ice. He dove toward the ground and opened up a rift in the earth with a move, and he seemed to surf down into the crust of the strange spirit world earth. For a moment it was silent.
Then, Siku appeared out of the earth again, close to the body of Roku conducting the ritual. He jumped off of his surfboard like ice and made a motion to send it flying at the former avatar as he landed upon the ground. He preemptively erected a wall of stone to protect himself from Kenzan should he unleash another offense on him.
Kenzan looked towards Roku, the Fire Nation Avatar knowing that Kuruk would be coming for him instead of focusing on the boy that he was controlling. Kenzan spun quickly as Siku appeared out of the ground, creating a barrier of wind around Roku, sending the board of ice shooting off in some random direction away from the fight. After that, Kenzan launched several strong fireballs at the earth wall Siku had erected, hoping to smash through it.

- Kenzan was located at the Fire Sages Temple studying Lightning Bending.
- Kenzan saw a strange light and was led to the source; Avatar Roku's statue.
- Kenzan found himself inside of the spirit world, atop a high mountain. Avatar Roku's dragon, Fang, came to investigate and found Kenzan. Fang gave Kenzan a ride, ending up at Vaatu's prison.
- Siku a waterbender from the south, was also lead to the prison. He witnessed what appeared to be Avatar Roku performing some kind of ritual around the prison.
- Siku is possessed by the spirit of Avatar Kuruk. Kuruk seems to disagree with Avatar Roku's attempts to weaken the bond between the spirit world and the mortal realm. Siku is forced to attack the Avatar.
- Roku is able to posses the body of Kenzan to defend him as he completes his ritual. Roku claims that what he is doing is a necessity and Vaatu will not be freed by his ritual. Siku and Kenzan begin a battle, each possessed by the spirit of a former avatar. Siku focuses upon trying to stop Roku;s ritual as Kenzan attempts to protect him.
- Siku struggles against his controller. He dislikes the idea of being possessed, regardless of the power that is flowing through his body.
