Name: Masami Asanti
Nickname: Wrath of Ashes
Age: 41
Gender: Female
Nation: Fire Nation
Physical Appearance: This Firebending Master holds an eerie beauty that makes her absolutely stunning yet almost beyond approach. From the way she carries herself down to the clothing and her manner of speaking, everything about Masami Asanti radiates that she is deadly strong and equally as beautiful. Masami has a slender build and is of average height though she appears much taller thanks to the air surrounding her. Her hair is straight and flowing when it's down as well as a color of brown so dark that it looks black. Her eyes are fierce and a surprisingly bright green.
Masami prefers to wear dresses most of the time. She actually has quite a few but with her traveling, it's gotten to become less and less. The noble has a dress for every occasion. She is also almost always seen in boots as well of around the same style in colors of black, brown, and red. Now she's been collecting different cloaks, almost all of them with hoods. Her favorites that you will see her most often in is a deep red hooded cloak that she wears most of the time. She'll wear this one in daylight, when she doesn't mind that people see her or recognize her. The other one is a complete outfit of hers, that is completely black. The long-sleeved black dress is of a basic style that even covers her entire neck. The black hooded cloak that she wears completes the outfit by having a sturdy hood that stays in place in most winds. The hood covers Masami's eyes completely if your looking directly at her from eye level.
Though it's underneath all of her clothes and demeanor that you really start to see Masami. She keeps a dark and dangerous path hidden beneath terrible scars both from burns and from objects. These scars cover her entire body except from her wrists to her fingers, her ankles to her toes, and her face. Masami even has a long thin but deep scar running from the curve of the left side of her jaw to almost to the front of her neck. Though scars are not the only things Masami hides. She hides beautiful and graceful tattoos as well. She has two, one larger one that starts above her left breast and continues onto her shoulder where it wraps around to end in a swirl. The other is slightly smaller and is also found on her left side on her thigh with a unique design.
Equipment: As far as major equipment goes, Masami doesn't really have much. She left most of her belongings with her children back in the Fire Nation, where she has no idea if her past belongings are even there anymore. Though she does possess enough travel bags for all of her dresses, boots, and cloaks to be carried in as well as water flasks and food bins. Her total travel luggage consists of four large travel bags, three food bins and three water flasks just in case. She also carries a couple pairs of earrings and necklaces just in case she's invited to some party in the Earth Kingdom or if she just wants to look particularly beautiful that day. Though Masami also carries a picture of her each of her children from when she left them as well as a picture of her ex-husband.
Combat Skills:
Thanks to her time away from her ex-husband, Masami has finally learned more than the basics of Firebending. Her own particular style of firebending is fueled by revenge and also deep heartache. Her style is also slightly more graceful than that of most firebenders because of her time among the Water Tribes but she has a dangerous strength behind her fire. Though not blue in color, Masami's runs just a tad bit brighter and hotter than that of the other Firebenders. Some say it's because of her having to wait so long before she really used it while others say it's because of her hatred and burning rage.
Masami's favorite firebending techniques include those that she is strong in as well as the moves that she uses the most. They are all very fluid moves with obvious waterbending influence. These moves are: Fire Stream, Fire whips, and Fire lashes. Masami also is adept at the Shield of fire and Flame redirection for defensive moves. She also uses the Flame blade but she prefers actual knives instead of relying too heavily on this particular maneuver.
- Master Firebending Moves::
Out of pure necessity from her time with the Water Tribes, Masami learned the advanced move of Breath of Fire. She had to constantly be practicing this just so that she would survive the cold climate of the Poles. With practice, she could make the air from her lungs into small streams of fire. In this way, her firebending grew to become slightly hotter than others.
- Knives::
Masami has always had a fondness for knives, especially beings it was the only thing her father (and her ex-husband) allowed her to use so that she could defend herself if she needed to. Throughout her childhood and even through her adult years, Masami's skills with a knife are exquisite. She can throw them with almost perfect accuracy but this is not her preferred way of using knives and she usually only throws a knife in desperation. No, Masami likes to get up close and personal with those that she fights while using knives, which act as an extension of her arm and hands.

Talents:
Though Masami has never sang professionally before, she does have quite a beautiful singing voice. Her voice is soft and filled with love when she sings. Though she's only really only sang for her children before they went to bed each night. She hasn't sang since she left them though and now that she has changed so much, no one will ever hear her sing again, unless they somehow manage to touch her heart.

Flaws:
Masami's firebending, as strong as it is, is no exception to the weakening of her bending when confronted with water. In fact, Masami's bending is affected a little bit more than other firebenders when confronted with large amounts of water. Masami can still firebend in regular rain storms but she struggles to firebend large amounts in severe hurricane-type storms. Her bending seems to be fine when she is in cold climates, like the Water Tribes. Though the minute she gets soaked from snowfall, it starts to effect her bending ever so slightly. The colder she gets, the more her bending is automatically used to keep her body at a stable temperature just so she can survive.
- Mental Struggle::
Like most firebender masters, Masami is just starting to suffer from slight mental instability. Though the woman's is not as strong as most other masters because she hasn't been a master that long. Masami has also had the grace of learning how to slow it's progress down considerably by daily exercises associated with breathing techniques and calming the mind. In this way, Masami has tampered down the severe effects of her personal mental as well as emotional instability to where she can still maintain her usual personality.

History: (of noble blood, mother-noblewoman, father-high-ranking general, younger brother who is a natural Firebender, herself basics, arranged marriage (Ryota Takeshi), courtship was sweet n awkward but they both fell in love, wedding was beautiful and extravagant. abuse started year after wedding, slowly. children- 17: son, 15: daughter, 12: son. Got into last fight and caused husband's scar across his face, ran away. Then spent 2-4 years at Water Tribes before settling down in Earth Kingdom, plotting revenge...hahaha.)

Personality: A long time ago, Masami was known for countering her husband's ambitious nature with her own compassion and kindness. She was known for working alongside her servants to bake and cook food and goodies. Then she would have a small group come with her to go into the dregs of the Fire Nation and pass them all out to anyone who wanted one. When she started to have her children, she would frequently take her children along with food to the same parts (though with guards as well to protect her children) to have them play with the other kids. Masami was loved by all who came into contact with her.
But the abuse slowly ate away at her spirit until finally it broke into shattered pieces. With natural determination, Masami picked herself back up but her past personality never quite recovered. Her heart grew as cold as the place she took refuge at and a vengeful heat burned inside of her. Masami also grew calculated, planning her moves for the future multiple times and from all angles. In public, enough of a shadow of her past personality presented itself to where she was still well liked and respected. But the cold confidence and strength that radiate from her now make most intimidated enough by her that they can't love her like people used to. They can't pinpoint it though so they pass it off and eventually trust her. There is only one she seeks to get her revenge.
As the Wrath of Ashes though, everything is different. She stands for justice but won't stop at simply that. So everyone fears her just as she feared him. She seeks out those who are corrupt in any way. Masami allows herself to revel in the practice of her firebending. Though she is equally as calculating for everything she does, she does to make herself better, faster, stronger. And all to get back at him.
Pet: Even though Masami Asanti is not at all fond of animals much anymore, even she has a use for some of them. Particularly when it comes to traveling. Though she almost always hires someone else to take care of her eel-hound that she uses for transportation, even she has to admit that Zarri is well-behaved and loyal.
Zarri was born into captivity and was trained by the same trainer that trained her mother. The trainer was harsh but used a fair system of rewards and punishments. It took the usual number of years to get Zarri calmed down enough to even be ok with being led around by reins. It took three more years after that before Zarri finally accepted a rider. After that, she was finally sold into the hands of a non-bender old man who treated her kindly yet never let her get the better of him. When he died though, Zarri ended up in the clutches of an abusive young man who had no respect for the powerful creature that an eel-hound naturally is. It wasn't long before Zarri overpowered the man and scared him into selling her. The next owner was a young woman who was as king as the old man but had soft hands and simply couldn't handle Zarri's power. The young woman decided to keep Zarri regardless and treated the eel-hound well until Masami came along to buy the creature.
Their relationship is a refreshing one of give and take. Each recognizes the other's power and natural authority. Though Masami put her foot down with Zarri. Masami is exactly the kind of owner that a creature like Zarri needs, someone strong enough to handle Zarri's power and wildness yet not abusive and harmful by trying to change the eel-hound into something she's not.
