The boy paused in his tracks as he looked around in confusion, there was a small town in the middle of the spirit world, he wondered if multiple people had lost their way in this new world and created settlements. Though it was unexpected, a town gave him some new found hope of maybe finding some knowledgeable people, they would most likely know how to find one of the ways out of the spirit world. The young earth bender took a few steps forward, he saw the wooden sign with the name of the town carved onto the surface, "Akaige Village", by the looks of it, it was a small farming community though it looked completely deserted.
"Hello!? Is there anyone here?!"
Wei placed his hands around his mouth so the sound of his calls could echo loudly and travel through the tiny village. As he waited, he was met with silence, it seemed like everyone had simply up and left from the community, though a few moments ago he swore he could hear laughter as he entered. As he kept his bag slung over his shoulder, the boy decided to venture further, if there weren't any people around, the tavern looked like it could be a good place to bunker down and get some rest. As he walked through the dense mist, he began to notice the many weeds that littered the once lush crops.
There were small torches lit that provided just enough light to shine through the veil of grey, that dirt path had dozens of footprints embedded into it. As he walked up to the door of the tavern he placed his hand onto it and slowly pushed it open, the inside was filled with tables and chairs, most of which were fallen over on the sides. As he looked farther back he noticed the tavern bar and a few cobwebs that were in the corners of the wooden two story structure. The feeling was ominous, but he knew he needed to rest up a bit before heading out.
"I wonder if I need to eat in the Spirit World? I had a meal last night so I should be okay for a while longer."
Wei thought to himself as he began to flip the tables and chairs up, looking to fix up the place and light up some of the candles before getting a chance to rest.
