-What is this thing called Zeni?-
Upon landing on earth, Emer hadn't accounted for one thing... Money. On this planet, no one did anything for free, or for that matter just in good will. No in the end it all came down to one thing. And that one thing was the currency the humans called Zeni. It was a confusing topic to him, but everywhere he went, if he wanted anything it would cost him this thing they called Zeni. Back on the planet vegeta, everyone got something by going to the station. Once there they handed out the supplies for that month. And that was all you got. And yet here, all you had to do was carry something around called Zeni. After the first store he had visited, Emer was confused on what exactly it was. When he watched another customer come up, and pull out weird paper like materials, and these strange coins. While standing in the street, a small girl came up to him pulling on his shirt. She couldn't of been older than five, if that.
"Hehehe Mister, you look strange." The girls mother had frozen when she saw Zilo. His face was scared from the wounds he had, his arm was missing, and it seemed to her that this man was a crazy person. His clothing didn't match that of what anyone was wearing so he could of been from a cult for all the mother cared. Seeing her worried expression, Emer looked down at the girl, stretching his left arm out, he placed it on her head and rubbed the head slightly. A smile appearing on his face as he squatted down to her level. "I'm sorry about that, but I suppose it's becomes I'm not from here... I guess I'm what the humans would call an alien." The little girl let a small giggle escape her lips. The mother starred in disbelief. The man she was already labeling as a criminal, was actually being fairly patient, and as far as she could assume was joking around with the little girl. So far no one could tell the difference between himself and them, till the little girl reached up and removed Emer's hood.
As soon as the sunlight hit his head, people could see it light up in different colors. It seemed to flow in very color. Blinking slightly the mother dropped her bag surprised. And the little girl was also unsure what to say. She was entranced by his hair, so much in fact she began to play with it, making it move and watching it change colors depending on how the light touched his scalp. "That's cool!" The little girl said. Emer let a small laugh escape his lips as he stood back up. He left the hood down and looked over towards the mother before he spoke. "Could you tell me, where I could go to find this thing they call Zeni?" The mother who had been shocked by his hair, shook herself out of amazement. "Well yes, there's a sign over there, for labor that would allow you to take part in earning Zeni through a day at work." She stated. The idea of work crossed Emer's mind as his work had been to fight against the other races, and conquer the planets by any means necessary.
Standing there for a moment caught in his past, the woman spoke up to get his attention. "Though I do believe, if you're in a situation in which you need a nice amount of Zeni, there is a tournament that is coming up soon. If you wish to participate in there, just head north of here, and then when you come to the crossroads, there'll be a giant stadium. You can participate in there, to gain some money upon winning." Emer looked at her, he knew what tournament where, and had remembered them frequently on vegeta. Though back on his home world, he had learned that the winners often got their freedom, or the pride restored if they had been a fallen saiyan. To think that human's also had the same thing here... Well for Emer it got his blood pumping. A small smile crossing his face as he took the womans hand shaking it slightly. "Thank you, I'll be heading there right away." The woman had a smile on her face, till she saw that she was shaking hands with someone in the air.
Emer was trying to hurry towards the stadium, so here he was floating in the middle of the street ready to take off. The woman's mouth opened so far, one could think that a soccer ball could fit in her outstretched lips. Emer finally let go of her hand, before he suddenly lurched into the sky, and took off towards the north. The woman falling backwards and sitting on the ground shocked. The small girl waving after Emer shouting out. "Good Luck Mister Alien!" It wasn't long before he spotted the big stadium that they had been talking about, instead it seemed to be a bit different than anything he had seen before. The stadium was painted a dull white and black, giving it a small distorted look. The inside of the stadiums looked like a small wave was moving, it was the humans moving around and sitting down inside of the audience area. Emer surprise that so many people could crowd into one place, without fighting was unbelievable to him. Back on vegeta, the Saiyans full of pride, would never allow another to be elbow to elbow to them for long. Yet here they seemed to peaceful.
-Registration-
Emer landed in front of the giant ring like arena when someone began to walk by. It seemed that this man hadn't been paying attention as he was talking to the girl beside him, as he bumped into Emer. A sudden crash and thud could be heard, as the man managed to drop his cup and tray full of food, as the giant Kagami stood there in the middle of everything. Emer was much taller than any of the humans, he stood at a dead even seven feet. Looking down at the man, he let smile come on his face as he bent down to help him up. The man looked surprised and almost scared till the Kagami's hand came out to him as if to help him up. The man grabbed his hand, Emer wasted no time bringing the man up to his own height. The smaller man began to wipe off his black suit, putting his black glasses back on his face. He cleared his throat and began to speak towards Emer.
"Excuse me sir, I wasn't paying attention to where I was go-" Emer held up a hand and shook his head slightly. "No I was just standing here. I should of been paying attention myself. That is my fault." The man beside him was confused as he looked up at the giant. Before he shook his head and asked a question towards him. "So... What brings you here, you don't seem to be someone to sit around." He was remarking because of the obvious wounds on Emer. Turning towards the man, Emer went straight to the point. "I wish to enroll in this event, but I'm having a hard time finding where it is I should go... This place is so crowded, and there seemed to be too many people here. It's almost like people came here on a big occasion like what a family does." He was slightly confused why so many people had been here. They couldn't all be fighters? He didn't know if he could go through so many people at once... Let alone how far he would make it otherwise.
The smaller man suddenly shocked him out of his thinking when he laughed and pulled Emer by the arm. "This way then, I am the announcer of this tournament. Today is the gathering of all fighters, and they will fight each other to earn a spot in the world martial arts tournament. It's a big event that normally wouldn't allow any fighter to join, they have to have a recommendation, and then past a series of test. This fight is to ensure them a place in the WMAT, first and second place are awarded with a small reward. As the Third place just guarantees that you have a shot in the Wmat." Confused by the sudden rambling of the man. But as it would seem that he could come in second and still receive a prize, atleast if he failed to win, his effort wouldn't be for nothing. Suddenly they stood in front of a booth, a woman stood behind the wooden frame. Her eyes where closed and she had a bright green hair as she looked up at the Kagami. "Oh my... He's quiet large, but he's missing an arm... Welcome to the Black star sponsorship. Here we have fighters join, and fight to earn their spots in the WMAT under our sponsorship. If you would sign right here, as what name you wished to be called by we can get your application underway."
Emer looked down at a small piece of paper that had been sitting in front of him. Leaning down, he took up the pen and began to sign his name in his home language, the weird symbols confused everyone standing around him. They didn't know how to pronounce the name, let alone what it said. She looked up at the man and tilted her head speaking gently. "Um... And that is?" Emer blinked a little bit and turned a bit red. "It's my name... It's Emer." The girl nodded her head slightly before picking up a number that showed he was the thirty second fighter. As she handed it to him she was explaining what it was for. "That is your number, each of these numbers will be randomly drawn for the matches. The matches start with a free for all, between 4 members in a single match. When it down to eight remaining contenders, it will become a two versus two, till four players remain. Then the last series of fights will be a one on one. This way it doesn't become to chaotic for the announcers, and we can keep the tournament nice and sweet."
Emer looked at her nodding slightly, though he had no idea what all of the descriptions meant, all he knew was that when his number was called, he would step on stage. Though the rules where simple he had to read over them again. The first rule, there would be no cheap shotting allowed. Cheap shotting is described as hitting another below the belt and above the knees. Should someone break this rule, they'd be out instantly. Second rule, don't step outside of the ring, should you step out, you are automatically out. The third rule though had confused him. No killing is allowed. On his previous world, killing was the whole part of the tournament that netted the crowd, and was the reason the winner earned their freedom. Suddenly a hand grabbed his shirt and began to lead him. The woman that had made him sign was dragging him to the waiting room. She had been talking and noticed the male wasn't paying attention. As they reached the doors she spoke up again. "You'll enter through here, inside there are other fighters, waiting just like you. The first door on your right is the bathrooms and changing rooms. It's a unisex area, so no funny business inside. The door on the left is the entrance to the stadium. When your number is called, you will proceed up the arena stage, and when the announcer says fight, you may start throwing punches, understand?"
Slightly confused, Emer nodded his head. It wasn't everyday you where thrown into chaos like this... Maybe he should of thought this through. Before he could voice his opinions the girl shoved him into the room, locking the door behind him. As he was inside the room, he noticed several different fighters sitting at the benches. Male and female alike where getting ready for the tournament. Some assisting each other in warming up, others stretching and having their enemies hold their limbs so they could. Earth was a confusing place after all... Enemies working together without sabotage.... Truly strange....
~Round 1~
As Emer was sitting there, the crowd within the tiny room had began to thin out as random numbers where drawn and called to fight upon. The contenders here had been laughing and joking before now. But as the fighting continued everyone seemed to be getting serious. Each and every one of them seemed to go from relaxed and happy to serious as their previous friends had been eliminated. Everyone in here seemed to know one another, and those that came back had what one would call hatred stares from those who's friends had been eliminated. But to Emer it all seemed pretty peaceful to what he was used too. Suddenly the doors opened and the woman that had been a favorite among all the people in the room had returned. She stood about a five foot five, she was older than most in here, she was in her late forties or so that he could tell. Hey hair was blue, and flowed down to the middle of her back. She had bright blue eyes and held a fist up. She had gotten past her fight, yet there wasn't even a scratch on her.
Before he could ponder any longer, Emer heard the announcer call out. "Numbers fourteen! Twenty Two! Seventeen! And Thirty two, Please make your way to the stage!" Emer rose to his feet, to see that the other three within his group, had been muscle bound freaks. Each of them stood nearly even height with him as well. To almost everyone they where intimidating, but to Emer, he was mostly surprised. How did he not notice these three? They had been over in the northwestern most corner. And yet when they had been sitting down they looked about the same size as everyone else. As the four of them emerged from the dark room, into the brightly lit sky, the crowd cheered for all of them. Fist rising in the air, and people screaming at the top of their lungs. They all craved to see the violence and blood that was going to ensure with this fight. The Announcer looked over at Emer and cringed a little bit, what was that the young Kagami saw in the mans eyes? It looked almost like pity and sorrow. Finally speaking up. "I welcome your three returning champs! They have won at one time or another, the three demons. Rosco, Revi, and Tia!" The three giants held their arms into the air.
It suddenly hit Emer, that these three had been former competitors, and judging from what the man had said, they had all won once before. Emer looked over at the announcer, as he began to clear his throat. "And with them, we have a fresh blood... His name is Emer!" The crowd looked over at him before letting out what semed to be a blood chant in his mind. "Feed him to the demons!" It was surprising to hear, especially since it was a free for all. The announcer smiled softly at Emer before turning back to the crowd, raising the mic to his mouth. "LET THE FIGHT BEGIN!" Before anyone could react, the three men had turned towards Emer, they had moved quickly despite their size. Slightly confused on what was going on, it finally clicked in emers head, they had decided to get rid of the new blood, so the three could fight to be the real demon. The first one to reach him, had been the biggest out of the group Tia. The giant fist came screaming quickly at Emer. Holding his hand up he caught the blow full force, the sound echoing throughout the arena.
Emer's hand shook in pain as he was sent flying backwards. He wasn't prepared for someone this strong in the first round, and hadn't planned on fighting seriously till the end. But it would seem that idea was out the window. As he was planning something grabbed him by the waist as he was suddenly launched into the air. He was looking at the man that had thrown him, Rosco had simply flung the oung Kagami with one hand. It was strange to be in the air when he didn't want to be. Suddenly two beefy arms wrapped around his chest. Emer tilted his head up slightly, to see Revi holding onto him. "Sorry Boy, but this fight'll be between the champs." With that, a loud boom echoed throughout the stadium as the ground shook. The platforms of the ring began to crack as Emer's head was driven through them. The announcer standing there shocked quickly pulled his microphone to his lips. "OH MY FOLKS! It seems that our three demons have tag teamed this poor new comer! I feel sorry for him, no one could of stood a chance against that!"
Everyone began cheering for the demons, when suddenly Emer's arm protruded from the ground, and his body stood up out of the ground. His fingers clenched around Revi's throat. The giant was lifted off of the ground by the tall Kagami. Emer had a soft smile on his face as the blood trickled down his forehead. "That hurt like a son of a bitch... If I hadn't of relaxed my body before that slam, I'd of been unconscious." Revi's eyes where in shock, the fingers around his throat released only to be followed by Emer's right foot, slamming it into the mans abdomens. A loud cracked could be heard throughout the stadium as revi flew. Landing slightly at the edge of the ring. Half of his body hung on the side. The other two contenders Tia, and Rosco seemed to be just as surprised as the crowd. Right beside them, Revi laid on the edge of the ring, with the new comer standing there with blood trickling over his face. Rosco let out a small hmph, before nudging Revi off of the edge. Looking over at Tia he nodded, before the two of them came towards Emer.
Standing there calmly, Emer prepared for the onslaught that would surely be coming from these two enraged men. They didn't like that a new comer, had defeated one of their opponents, be it by luck, or by pure skill. They had it in their heads, that they would put him in his place. Suddenly the crowd roared as the two engaged with the young man. Emer's left arm moving nearly twice as fast as the two combined, he was deflecting moves left and right. Dodging and knocking away others, the two demons started to throw in some leg actions, as Emer blocked them by kicking back into them. Suddenly the two of them threw two punches at the same time. Emer unable to block both of the punches, had to duck as he did, a knee came up towards his face. What looked like a sure hit, went through the mans body. Everyone stood confused as to what happened. Suddenly Emer's body had vanished as he stood behind the two. "Sheesh, making me move that fast just to dodge y'all... You really could be demons."
Rosco, and Tia turned around to stare in surprise at the man. How had he moved that quick, and what was with them going through his body. Before they could finish processing what had happened, Emer was right in front of them again, this time, his punch connected on Rosco's ribcage. The over sized man grabbed the front of his chest, as the air within his body had been knocked out of it. Emer turned slightly and brought his left foot up, landing it into the mans chin. Sending Rosco up into the air, he flew quiet a distance before finally hitting the ground outside of the ring with a solid dude. The ground cracking slightly under his massive body. The Announcer suddenly snapping out of his surprise spoke wildly. "Oh my god Ladies and Gentleman! The underdog, and fresh blood, has made a surprising comeback taking out two of the demons! This is a surprise!" Tia, the last man standing against Emer walked backwards slightly. He was confused, and scared. "You aren't human!" He stated before running and jumping out of the ring.
Everyone's mouths dropped even Emers, what had just happened was unpredictable at it's finest. A champion running away after he made a come back. One should be happy to fight another person like that. Suddenly there was a loud voice from the Announcer. "I'm not sure what just happened ladies and gentleman! But It seems the demons have been defeated! The winner of Round one, BELONGS TO EMER! Congratulations. Now go enjoy yourself, as Round two, will begin shortly!" The crowd silent at first, rose into a loud uproar, as the stunned Kagami was ushered off of the stage.
~Round 2~
As Emer was guided back into the room, more numbers had been called. The group inside of the locker room continued to grow smaller. Emer had been surprised as to what was going on at the moment. He had no idea why the others went dead silent as he walked in. It was almost eerie, it seemed that everyone now saw him as a threat. Some of which where surprised that he had even survived the drop on his head. Let alone most didn't believe that he had defeated the three champs in a single round. Looking around a bit, there seemed to be only seven of them in the room. That meant this was the last group to fight, and then round two would start. Sitting down where he had been seated originally, the woman from earlier came over and sat beside Emer. She was pretty at least he believed she was. Her long blue hair, reaching her hips, and those soft blue eyes looking up at him.
"Hello stranger, that was an impressive fight, my name is Eve." Looking at the girl slightly, Emer didn't know how to respond. So instead of being too friendly he simply nodded his head, before closing his eyes thinking. The next battle was going to be a fight with teams in it. The objective was a two verse two. And with that, you'd be partnered with someone. But after that, the matches would be two one verse one matches. It was a strange concept on how to hold a tournament, but it made the whole idea seem like a joke of a tournament. And yet these people where taking it seriously. As he opened his eyes, Emer saw the girl right in his face, he bright blue eyes looking into his red ones. Slightly surprised the young Kagami shot backwards, and nearly falling off the bench. The girl let out a small giggle before grabbing his shirt, and pulling him forward, with hardly any effort. Suddenly his senses went off. This woman could move his weight so easy, without breaking her smile.
"You know Mister, It's rude not to tell me your name, when I went through the trouble to come over here and approach ya." Emer looked down at the woman that had called herself Eve, she didn't seem like much. But from his senses, just from what she was able to do, he know that she wasn't to be taken lightly. "Aiy... Sorry about that, My name is Emer..." The girl looked up at him and laughed slightly. "That sounds like a woman's name!" Emer turned red slightly before looking up at the roof, a small smile creeping on his face. "Indeed, it is part of my mothers name." He remembered that much at least. Suddenly the crowd rose in cheers, as the announcer had just announced the winner of the last match. A small laugh escaped everyone as they had been expecting it. Then a young tan warrior came walking down the door steps. He had no marks on him. Except for a smear of dirt, which probably was due to someone kicking him. He walked over towards Eve and Emer, before bowing slightly.
"How are you two?" He said politely, Emer looked at him and nodded slightly. "I'm doing fine..." Eve however looked away from the man and huffed slightly. It seemed the two of them had something going on. "Don't mind her, she's just upset she didn't get to fight me." He stated, answering what emer had been thinking, he didn't know how that was possible, but it had been. The young man was looking around slightly before he said. "These are the teams." He walked over towards the boards, and placed a small scale with names on it. Too his surprise Emer was partnered with Eve, She had a small smile on her face as she looked at him. "Yay, that means I don't have to work with Robert there. He'll have to face me at some point." Assuming that Robert had been the other males name, he looked to see that their opponents would be two people that had barely won their fight. Looking over he saw the two warriors looking at each other and shaking heads.
Their match was first up, and without relaxation, the two to face Emer and Eve, didn't stand a chance. Suddenly the two teams where called to come upon stage. As they approached, Emer and Eve saw the two approach the announcer. He seemed to be disappointed but brought the microphone up to his mouth. "Sorry Ladies and Gentlemen, it seems that these two, are going to forfeit. Your Winners by default are EMER AND EVE!" Standing there slightly confused, Eve let a soft sigh escape her lips as she turned to head back into the room. The crowd booing the two who had surrendered, Though for Emer, it was a lucky break he wouldn't need to fight till the next round. But the problem would be, who would his opponent be when it came to that time. The next match began almost immediately as they reached the room again. Eve let out a rant like no other he had seen, it was unfitting of a lady, cussing her opponents out."If we're to fight each other, I don't want you backing out! Just because I won the last World Martial Arts tournament! Promise me that!" Emer looked at her slightly confused, though he had no idea what she had wanted him to promise. He nodded his head slightly, a smile grew across her face. "Good!"
~Round 3~
Finally the second tier of the tournament was over. There remained four people inside of the small area. It was Emer, Robert, Eve, and another contender they called Rose. The four of them had been joking around for a little while, awaiting the final matches. Emer slowly breaking out of his shell laughing with them, and throwing out quick little jabs as they had when teasing him. Suddenly the Announcer entered the room with a large smile on his face as he walked over placing a small post it on the board. Starring at it, Emer saw that he was up first, and his opponent was going to be Robert. The young male was someone that Eve wished to fight. A small smile on her face as she looked over at Robert. "This couldn't of worked better for me, I'll get to fight one of you... Oh this is going to be so fun..." Robert laughed slightly before returning the remark to her. "That is, if you don't lose to Rose."
Suddenly the two hugged each other and had a small kiss. Slightly confused Emer laughed a bit. Robert looked over at Emer and nodded slightly. "I guess I should introduce myself a bit more. I am her husband, I Anticipate a good match between us..." Emer stood up and took the mans hand before smiling. "I may have you cancel that match." Robert's face turned into a wild smile. "Well, if you do win against me, and lose to my wife, she's won our argument and I'll have to do as she says for a whole year, If you win against me, you better win in my stead." Emer looked at the man and nodded slightly. Suddenly the crow began to roar. The contenders knew that this would signify the start of the round. It had been like this for a while now. Emer's and Roberts name had been called by the Announcer, walking side by side the two of them proceeded on stage.
Everyone had seen the fights these two had been in, but unfortunately for Emer, they hadn't seen the young Kagami participate in the second round. But that didn't stop the cheers they had going at the moment. Stepping into the ring, sent a small chill up Emer's spine. As he turned around to see Robert starring dead at him. The friendly man from earlier had completely changed. Robert seemed to revert back into a phase that represented a soldier. It was a bit scary at first, because it seemed that he was determined to kill Emer. But the thought crossed his mind, the rules in the tournament prevented killing your opponent. That sent a small relief through Emer. But it was suddenly gone as the announcer said the word. "FIGHT!" Robert's speed was amazing. The young tanned man, with his short black hair had cleared the distance between them in less than two seconds.
Emer began to back away, but was too slow as the mans fist landed in his stomach. All the air in his mouth had left him. Robert appeared behind him, landing the back of his heel into his lumbar region, causing his legs to go numb and drop from beneath him. Emer had never experienced this before, no opponent had ever struck him in the lower back, Emer would admit it hurt like hell, but the odd sensation of your feet giving out was frightening. Roberts onslaught didn't stop there, he spun quickly bringing his knee towards Emer's head. Throwing his arm up, Emer caught the knee in his forearm, the blast made an ear deafening boom, sending Emer sprawling across the ring. Sliding to a stop at the edge of the ring, Emer blinked a few times. His ear drum had been busted, and his vision was blurry. When he tried to stand he felt dizzy, So much so, that he couldn't completely stand. He was forced to stay on one knee.
The crowd was going wild at the moment, when Emer looked up he was greeted by a foot, the fast striking pace Robert had didn't let the poor Kagami catch his breath. Doing only what he could think of, Emer tilted his body backwards, Roberts face seemed to go from a smirk, to a surprised look as he began to fly off the ring. But due to his confused state, Emer had reached up and grabbed his other foot, bringing the man slamming into the ground of the ring. Cracks shot along it, as he couldn't hold back his full power in this form. Blood cam coughing out of Roberts mouth as he backed away a bit. As surprised as he was to still be in the ring, he couldn't imagine his opponent to have that much strength in him still. Emers body was shaking as he stood up. Threatening to give out from underneath him. The ringing had stopped in his ears, and the sluggish feeling he had was fading away.
Robert began to circle around the boy, preparing for another strike. As he flew towards Emer with a flurry of strikes, they went through nothing but air, and the fading body of the boy, who was beside him now. Emer's fist went sky rocketing up into Roberts ribs. The sound of cracking could be heard, but to Emers surprise. Robert didn't flinch in pain, instead he wrapped his arms around the Kagami, and proceeded to slam his head into the tiles beneath him. A grunt of pain escaping Emer, as it was the second time today, his head was slammed into the tiles below. Robert backing away after it, took a defensive position. Emer began to slowly rise, his head was aching as if he had a hangover. As soon as he was fully standing, all Emer could see was the face of his opponent in his. Three hard punches connecting to his ribs, each one cracking one or two of his ribs.
A grunt escaping his lips, Emer grabbed onto Roberts head with his hand, the gentleman went to release Emer's grip, till he felt the pressure of the Kagami's grip. He could feel his skull being crushed. When he looked up into Emer's eyes, there was no emotion of the fighter he was fighting a second ago. Instead it seemed to be a killer like stare. Emer released his grip only to put his fist into Roberts abdomen, the air behind him made a loud static boom, deafening anyone near them at the moment. Roberts eyes seemed to role back into his eyes. The older man crumpled to the ground like a sack of potatoes. The announcer not sure what had happened, was watching. There was burn marks on the mans stomach, as blood was slowly seeping out of it. Emer's hand had fired a ki blast point back into his opponent. Causing people to miss what had happened. "Well Folks... I don't know what happened... But we have a winner... The Fresh blood who's surprised us all... Has made it to the Finals!"
~Round 4~
~The End~

~Round 4~
~The End~
