Monzo

Physical Appearance: Monzo is the shortest person in his family, standing at 5'2 and weighs 126. Despite his small stature, he has a fairly muscular build. He regularly styles his wild hair by ruffling most of it upwards to add to his height and has a tiny tuft of hair that falls over his forehead. The color of his hair is black with brown at the tuft of. His eyes are hazel and slanted.


Typically, Monzo would be found wearing a gray no sleeved shirt with a fire nation like vest. He also wears a fire nation like shorts with black boots. To go with his attire, he has black framed goggles that hang around his neck and red tape on his left hand and white on his right. If he travels to an area with cold weather, he wears a scarlet and black fur coat with a dragon symbol on the back. Covering is leg are black cargo like pants and black fur boots. Instead of his goggles being around his neck, he puts it over his eyes and his hands are covered with mittens instead of tape.

Combat Skills: For half of his life, Monzo was training in Muay Thai. His father was to be a master in this form of martial arts, so he decided to teach his only son. Monzo only has partial experience using this martial art due to the fact that his father died before teaching him a lot. His mother also trained him in using fire bending. She taught him their family's own style, called Flaming Tiger. He did not complete his training in this, due to the fact his mother also died.

Talents: Monzo is an extraordinary cook due to the fact he had to find and cook food by himself. He uses his fire bending to do most of his cooking. He is also a good at haggling and stealing. He does not take pride in it, but he is very good at stealing. Usually, you will find Monzo hunting animals in the fire nation region. He isn't good at it, but he considers it a hobby.

Flaws: Even though Monzo is a fire bender, he cannot bend fire out of nothing. He needs a source around the area in in order to bend it, but he can breathe fire. This is due to the fact that half of his family consists of non-benders and the fact he was born on an eclipse. He also gets burned when fire bending(this is why he covers his hands in tape). 

History: 
-Birth-
To some people, Monzo is a very unlucky child because he was born on the day of an eclipse. Since eclipse render fire benders completely useless, it made his fire bending very weird. 
-Age 5-6(Continues of First Paragraph)- 
Ever since he could walk, talk, and comprehend things, his mother trained him to fire bend. His mother was very confused on why he couldn't fire bend, but that didn't stop her. His father on the other hand was sure that he was another non-bender. A year passed before his mother gave up and she was tired and tired of doing the same thing over and over again, until one day. Monzo was out practicing his martial arts with his father, when his mother decided to try something new. She came from nowhere and threw fire at him(not intending to harm him), she wanted to see if he would fire bend when he is under attack. She was wrong, instead his father deflected it for him with his staff. Fire was all around the courtyard and Monzo was beginning to think his mother was trying to get rid of him due to his failure. He decided to retaliate, but didn't know how.  He started to due the stances of fire bending that his mother taught him and the fire around the area was beginning to move in the direction he was aiming. His mother was in shocked at the fact he was fire bending, she was sure that he wasn't going to. When his mother was trying to come over to him to hug him for his achievement, Monzo kept attacking insisting she didn't come closer. He ended burning his mother very severely and the palm of his hands. When he had realized what he had down, he had stopped, but it was to late. His mother had already third degree burns all over her body. He didn't want to come close to her, fearing that she would yell at him saying it was all his fault. So he ran not away, he ran into his home. When he got inside, he cried that day and it lasted through out the night to. That day, his mother had died do to his fire bending.

-Age 11-
Ever since his the death of his mother, Monzo has sworn to fire bend only in self defense. He had been training in a normal fire nation school. Even though 5 years had passed since the passing of his mother, he always had nightmares about what happen that day. Sometimes, he would even see images of his mother on the other students faces. That would cause him to have a panic attack. This became very stress in his life and his father's life. His father would have to deal with his son's emotional problems and his physical problems. On top of that, he would have to train his son still. This routine would become way to much for him to handle. So his father decided to deal with this in his own way. One day, when Monzo was at school, his father hired these assassins to help him out with his problem. He waited for Monzo to get off of school in order for his idea to work. By the time Monzo got him, he saw his father tied up to a chair and a group of men surrounded him. Before he could react, a man grabbed him from behind and tied him up to a chair. He sat there and watched as the men killed his father. He would scream and scream no as they did it, but his efforts were useless. As the men left, he got out of his binds and rushed to his father. He couldn't imagine why anyone would want to do this, but he knew what this meant. He was cursed to watch everyone die before him. He didn't know what to do at this point, but he knew that he had no home now. After that day, he watched other homeless kids work on the streets doing everything they can to get food. He learned how to fend for himself in the streets and since his father died, he hadn't dreamed of any horrifying things. So from that point on he became a street rat.
 

Personality: Monzo is a very Sly person, since he had been living off the streets. He thought of ways to steal food unlike any other person, which caused people to call him a Genius. He is also a very Conceited person. Many people ignore that due to the fact he is a very Caring person. Since he steals a lot, Monzo is constantly getting in trouble with the authorities which causes people to call him Rebellious. All in all, people call him Sensitive when ever someone mentions his parents.
