Physical Appearance:
Uyarak is a perfectly healthy young waterbender. He's tall, fairly muscular, and his characteristics don't strain one bit from that of a traditional water tribe citizen. He has slightly tanned skin, clear of scars or birth marks, very dark brown hair, and bright blue eyes. Despite his obvious water tribe features though, he has nothing else on him that makes him stand out.
His hair, unlike most of the water tribe males, is always kept short; out of the way, as he likes to say. Whereas most people tend to dress up in colors that represent their nation, he chooses his attires based on whether they fit his environment or not. Since he travels a lot, he mostly uses pastel colors on simple clothes. The cheaper the better.

Equipment:
The only thing he needs and has, is his backpack. A brown pack in which he keeps all his belongings, not many for that matter. Two changes of clothes he replaces whenever they get too rugged, a water pouch, food and his money pouch.
Combat Skills:
Bending - He is indeed a waterbender, but he's not exactly the skilled type. He knows how to bend a fair amount of water from a lake into his water pouch, but that's as far as his bending skills go. He never trained in the art of waterbending for fighting purposes, and doesn't plan to do so in the future either.
Raw Strength - If he punches you or kicks you, you'll certainly be in a lot of pain; that is, if he actually manages to hit you. He really isn't a fighter. He has great potential to become one if trained, but he's not interested at all, even if it is basic self defense skills. He's a man of peace and fighting goes against his beliefs.
Talents:
Storytelling - He doesn't have many talents worthy mentioning, except his storytelling, and this was pointed out as a talent mostly by children, so, it's not a very serious statement. He's just good at making things look bigger than they are, and he uses that ability of his when entertaining children with stories.
Flaws:
Sensitive Back and Neck - It might not seem like a serious problem to others, but to him it is a significant thing. He's not sensitive only to human touch, but to anything that might touch him on those areas. Fabric is barely an exception, since he has managed t get used to it on his back. As for his neck, you can assume scarves aren't a very good gift for him. His reaction to touching of those areas might vary from his instantly becoming half asleep, to dreadful angry shouting.
Psychologically Cowardly - Although he's pretty good at handling others' problems, he keeps avoiding his own personal problems. He's afraid of psychological pain, and thus pushes aside anything that might make him feel bad and postpones facing it for some other time. Things just keep piling up inside him, and at times, he finds himself crying for the smallest things; a way for his body to get rid of all the emotions he has stacked up inside him.
History:
Uyarak was born to a proud fighter father and a loved dead mother. He wasn't lucky enough to meet his mother, who died giving birth to him. His father of course didn't feel it was right to find someone else to replace the role of his mother, and thus Uyarak grew up without one.
His father, despite being a warrior and wanting his son to follow the same path, decided he would let the child free of training and would give him all the love he could in place of his mother until he was older. He ended up staying at home all day, rarely going out to talk to anyone else other than his father, much rather make any friends. He found himself happy as he was -contempt- and didn't want to taint that feeling.
It was on his thirteenth birthday his father realized that the child was going nowhere with his future with that antisocial behavior of him, and announced that the pampering was going to stop and that the boy was going to start training to become a great warrior like his father. Uyarak panicked. He packed a few things quickly and left in the dead of the night.
Over the course of the next year, he realized that this future he had chosen was not like he thought it would be. He was forced to mature at a young age, work to earn his food and drink, and sleep in the streets with barely anything to keep him warm. It was hard for a long time, until he finally started to get the hang of this life. He considered going back to his home many times, but never actually did. He was too afraid of what he might have to face there; afraid enough to choose a life of traveling instead.
So far, he has traveled all around the earth kingdom and he is currently planning on visiting the fire nation. He doesn't have a stable occupation yet and gains money by doing small jobs, which lets him travel freely from place to place.

Personality:
He might seem kinda rough from afar, but if you actually talk to him, his exterior becomes a humorous contrast to his personality. He's a very polite person, but not as much as to make him distant. He will help out anyone, as much as he can, however he can, and will most likely ask nothing in return, especially if you're a stranger to him. He believes that keeping everyone on his good side is the key to a happy life, and sticks with that ideal, even if it managed to hurt him in way he doesn't even realize. He will act all mighty and brave if hi loved ones are in harm's way, but he will give in if the problem concerns his mental state. He's extremely afraid of mental pain, even if he doesn't admit it. Thus he tries his best to keep himself away from excessively intense situations and relationships.
