It was the afternoon. The sun shone down from above, beating against the ground with it's fiery presence. It hadn't taken Aang long to get close to Omashu. Barely a day had passed. It still hadn't really sunk in that he had run away from his duties and the air bender was checking on Appa. There hadn't been a chance when he had paused for a break last night and they had set off early in the morning to close the distance between himself and Bumi. But now that he was nearly there, Aang was wondering whether this was the best place to go. Sure his friend was here, but there was also Kuzon in the Fire Nation. Maybe it would make more sense to go there first.
"That's better," The boy said as he ran a hand through the Sky Bison's thick fur, tickling him just where Aang knew Apppa liked it. A smile came to the young face at this familiar action. He had checked Appa over quickly and the bison looked perfectly fine, despite their near miss with the storm. Thinking about the storm, Aang hoped that it wasn't going to head North. It was a pretty nasty thing from what he saw of it. Imagine what might have happened if they hadn't spotted it in time!
So now he just had to figure out what he was planning to do with his time off. The boy was desperately hoping that he could have the chance to take both Bumi and Kuzon sight seeing! It would be great fun and they would nearly have someone to represent each of the Nations. He and Kuzon might even get to do some dancing. Aang had grown rather fond of the national dances of the Fire Nation. They were quiet good fun and the music was certainly good. It never crossed Aang's mind that both his friends may actually be busy.
"It'll be fun," Aang promise Appa, giving the giant creature a stroke and laughing at the low rumble that came from the bison's throat. It sounded affectionate.
"We'll go back when things have calmed down. First off is our holiday," He informed Appa, grabbing a stick and starting to make a map of the world in the dirt. It would probably be easier to plan like this. Maybe their first outing could be to the South Pole to ride the Penguins! It would mean heading back south but it would be totally worth it!
